Job description
As Finance Manager you are responsible to Lead and manage all financial and accounting activities of Sema factory and its subsidiary companies, including financial planning, reporting, budgeting, cash flow, internal control, and compliance with Qatari laws and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), ensuring asset protection and maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Budgeting:
Prepare annual financial plans and budgets for the factory and subsidiary companies.
Monitor actual performance against plans and budgets, provide variance reports and analysis to senior management.
Plan and manage cash flows to cover operational and investment commitments.
Accounting & Reporting:
Supervise all daily accounting operations (payments, receivables, payroll, inventory).
Prepare periodic financial statements (monthly/quarterly/annual) in accordance with IFRS and Qatari laws.
Oversee monthly and yearly closings and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Internal Control & Compliance:
Develop and implement unified financial policies and procedures across all departments and subsidiaries.
Ensure compliance with Qatari laws (Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, taxation where applicable).
Supervise bank deposits, payment and receipt vouchers, and bank reconciliations.
Liaise with internal and external auditors and address audit findings.
Financial Analysis & Decision Support:
Analyze profitability, costs, and margins by activity or product.
Provide recommendations to senior management on expansions, investments, and financing.
Prepare financial feasibility studies for new subsidiary projects.
Team Management:
Lead the team of accountants and cashiers across the factory and subsidiaries.
Develop team capabilities through continuous training and mentoring.
Conduct annual performance evaluations and update job descriptions accordingly.
Factory & Subsidiary-Specific Tasks:
Monitor daily sales and incomes.
Oversee inventory and cost control and issue periodic reports.
Ensure proper procedures for cash receipt and handover and prevent fraud.
Review and monitor supplier contracts, pricing, and spending controls.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s or CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred).
Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in finance, including at least 3 years in food/beverage factories or supermarkets.
Solid knowledge of Qatari laws and IFRS.
Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Excel.
Strong analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
